How do I replace GoTreads parts?

Repairing your Go Treads #

In this article we’ll go over the steps to replace GoTreads parts for worn or damaged panels. GoTreads are modular and designed to be easily serviced as needed.

Removing a Section #

Grab a hammer and a punch, a nail, or anything you can tap with a hammer with a 1/8” tip.

The hinge pin is flattened on one end to securely hold the pin in place and can only be removed from one side.

Place the punch on top of the hinge pin you are removing and tap a few times with the hammer. If it doesn’t come out, try the other side. It should fall out freely with a few sturdy taps of the hammer.

Once the pin is free, remove the damaged part and line up your new replacement part. Push the hinge pin in and then hammer it down until the pin is flush.

Adding a Section #

Just line up the hinge on your new panel into the end of your GoTreads. Don’t worry, the hinges are keyed, so you can’t do it wrong!

Slide the hinge pin through the panel and the hinge, then hammer it down until the pin is flush. All set!

Use the optional quick connect pin to add or remove without tools.
